Welcome to my creative liminal space: Sublevel Orange.
If you’re here, you’re probably a friend.
Or someone curious enough to wander beyond the usual paths.
I have always enjoyed writing, creative processes and music. I have hard drives full of ideas, sketches, bigger creative projects. So a creative digital hub seemed the next step. Here it is at Sublevel Orange.
Think of it as a closet or basement to keep all of these ideas. You’ll find things in English and German, depending on how my bilingual brain was functioning at the time, or for whom the texts were intended.
This space isn’t meant to be perfect or tidy. Neither is my real-life closet.
This is where stories hang out in their sweatpants. First drafts. Studies in characters, ideas that may or may not be followed though.
Some things are already polished. Some are unfinished. Some are the in beginning or messy middle of something larger.
Some are recent, some go back years.
Some are/were intended for a specific purpose or audience, others just came to life.
It’s meant to hold things: ideas I’m working on, entire project cosmoses, or scraps I find beautiful enough to keep. Even if it’s just fridge poetry (oh yes, that’s a thing in my kitchen).
Expect fragments.
Expect contradictions.
Expect to come back later and find everything slightly different.
If you’ve found your way here, you might be someone who’ll appreciate this kind of stuff. Feel free to browse and explore.
